Plot2000 is a Plot Automation and billing solution for AutoCAD versions 2000 thru 2007.

Plot2000 speeds up the plotting process by eliminating the need to interact with the AutoCAD Plot command. Employees use macros or the Plot2000 Pull-down menu to quickly generate plots with pre-set values, and these macros can be shared on the network. The time required to generate a plot is reduced to seconds.

Batch Plotting, Plot stamping, and Billing are all included features that can be turned on if desired in your environment.

The Plot2000 approach to generating plots:

  1. Define your "quick-key" macros for frequently-used plot settings.
  2. Enter the "quick-key" command (or pick from the menu) and the plot comes out, saving a lot of time!
  3. Batch plotting and single plots use the same "quick-key" macros.

The Plot2000 Dynamic Menu and configuration file can be located on your network so that all your employees have access to creating the same fast, consistent Plots! The menu above is an actual screenshot from a multi-office firm using Plot2000. Each Plotter has Full and half-size options, plus a few different media types (Bond and Vellum) for a multi-roll plotter. This is a real-world example of a fairly complex Plot2000 installation.

Plot2000 comes with a block that can be used to annotate your plots with job number and other information including filename, date, and time. If you already have a plot stamp that includes a job number attribute, Plot2000 can use this in conjunction with the billing feature.

All plot settings, such as "Auto" sheet size mode, are automated intelligently. Plot2000 also automatically sets portrait or landscape output mode as required to rotate your plot to fit on the paper properly. In "Auto" mode, Plot2000 can save you paper by selecting the smallest sheet size available that your drawing will fit on.

Plot Scaling is also intelligent - dimscale, half dimscale, and fixed scale options are available. Plotting and plot scaling works intelligently from model space or paper space.

Batch plotting supports plotting individual layout tabs, all tabs, and special "non plotting" tabs.

Forward and reverse plot collating, sorted by filename and layout tab name during batch plotting can be enabled for specific plotters.
