F.A.Q.
(Frequently Asked Questions)
Does Plot2000 support AutoCAD 2002 ?
Yes.
Does Plot2000 support AutoCAD LT?
No.
Is Plot2000 Network-compatible?
Yes, see the manual for instructions on
how to do this, or try Plot2000 NMS (Network Management System) to automate all aspects of a network installation.
How should I setup my Network printers and plotters to use Plot2000?
We recommend that you have a common place on your network to store your
.PC3, .CTB, and .STB files. All workstations should point to this common
location on the network. This is set in the AutoCAD OPTIONS command,
and should be the same on all your computers. Doing this will help your
firm be more consistent in your plotting output, even if you don't use
Plot2000. See the manual for instructions.
When I type PLOT, it takes a long time for the window to come
up. Why?
You probably have a shortcut in your "Plotters" or "Plot
Styles" directory that doesn't point to a valid location. This
is a common problem, and is not related to Plot2000. Remove any shortcuts
from those directories.
Sometimes the Plotter cuts off some of my drawing. What should I
do?
With some HP Plotters, only the "Application Paper Size" that
the driver is currently set for correctly reports the margins back to
AutoLisp. Attaching a PMP file solves this problem. Create a .PC3 file
for the printer in question and modify the sheet size you are using
so that it indicates the proper margins for your printer. If that doesn't
work, use the "Edit Sheet Sizes and Margins" button in PLOT2000CONFIG.
There is more information in the manual on
this.
